About Fanlistings

What is a Fanlisting? A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a certain subject (such as a TV show, actor, or musician) that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name, email address, and country. TheFanlistings.org is the original web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.
In this case, the fanlisting is for the American musician Storm Large, and was created by Sasha. If you're still not sure what a fanlisting is, please read Fanlistings 101 for more information!

About Storm Large

Storm Large (born Susan Storm Large, June 25, 1969) is a singer best known as a contestant on the CBS reality television show Rock Star: Supernova. Although she was eliminated on September 6, 2006 (in the last show before the season finale), Rock Star: Supernova host Dave Navarro recorded a guitar track on her single "Ladylike." On October 14, 2006, "Ladylike" debuted at #5 on Billboard's "Hot Singles Sales" chart.

Storm was born and raised in rural Southborough, Massachusetts. Since around age five, Large has been singing and writing songs, and, by age 14, she was five feet ten inches tall, with piercings and a mohawk. After high school, she attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, where she earned an associates degree in 1989. Soon after, she moved to San Francisco to pursue music instead of acting. She formed the bands FlowerSF, Storm and her Dirty Mouth, and Storm Inc., and sometimes performed as the duo Storm and Michael or Storm and Friends. In 2002, she left San Francisco to attend the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, where she was convinced by friends to sing again. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon where she leads her band Storm and the Balls.

Storm and the Balls, originally Storm and the Hellfire Antisocial Club, was formed in 2002 after Large moved to Portland from San Francisco. The Balls have drawn what local media call a "cult-like" following in clubs, primarily Wednesday nights at Dante's, where they perform "lounge-core, mash-up" renditions of artists ranging from ABBA, Billy Idol, Motörhead and Olivia Newton-John as well as their own compositions. Storm also worked part-time as a bartender at Dante's when not touring with The Balls.

Before moving to Portland, she performed in the San Francisco Bay Area with her former bands (in order from most-recent back), Storm & Michael (billed as "Storm and Friends" on at least one occasion at Sweetwater in Mill Valley, CA), Storm Inc., Storm and Her Dirty Mouth, and FlowerSF. During that time, she tended bar at Noe Valley institution the Rat and Raven, which featured packed Sunday night showings of The Simpsons. She has appeared with her band Storm Inc. on the "Locals Only" television show produced by TMC. Storm is known for her vocal range, stage presence, and attitude when performing.
